Sustipan
Sustipan is a small peninsula located in the southwestern part of Split. There is a small church and a little pavilion surrounded by pine trees. It is only a 10 minute walking distance from the promenade (Riva) and is the perfect location to enjoy the skyline of Split and Riva on one side and the breathtaking sea view on the other side.
Žnjan/Trstenik Beach
Picnics by the sea sound so perfect! Seaside is loved by both locals and tourists during summer, so in order to enjoy more privacy, it is recommended to organize picnics in spring or autumn picnics there. If you want somewhere with no crowds at all during summer, there is one secret spot near Hotel Radisson Blu (or Trstenik area) that can fulfill your wish. It may not be the most romantic and convenient place, but you can enjoy a sea view and a lovely picnic in peace.
* There is a big construction on Žnjan Beach in 2024 and that makes it not ideal for picnics unfortunately. However, you can consider Trstenik Beach (10-15 min from Žnjan) if it suits you. Contact us for more info.
Poljud Stadium

If you want to get out of the city and experience a different vibe, we would suggest the top two places on our list: Solin and a private organic olive grove in Kaštela.
Solin
Solin is a city 5 km north from Split. In the very heart of the city are the Church of St Mary and a beautiful green park with grass and shades where you can spend a pleasant time having a picnic, enjoying nature and watching little ducks in the river that goes through the whole town.
Olive Grove in Kaštela
This organic olive grove is privately owned by a local family who has devoted to producing top quality olive oil for decades. You will enjoy an exclusive access to the olive grove and host a picnic just for you and your friends. If you are interested in tasting their award-winning olive oil and learning more about olive oil in general, a guided tasting and tour can be arranged.
